Ingredients

Recipe makes 12 Servings

1 non-stick cooking spray
4 Oz sage sausage
2 Tbsp extra virgin olive oil
1 cup(s) H-E-B® Chopped White Onion
1 cup(s) whole mushrooms, sliced
3 H-E-B® Peeled Garlic, chopped
1/4 cup(s) H-E-B® Chopped Celery
1/4 cup(s) H-E-B® Diced Bell Peppers 3 Color
1 Tsp thyme
1 Tsp sage
8 slices whole wheat bread, toasted and cubed
1/2 cup(s) organic Italian parsley, chopped
1 cup(s) reduced sodium chicken broth

Instructions

Heat the oven to 375°F.

Spray a large baking dish with non-stick cooking spray, and set aside.

Heat a skillet over high heat for 2 minutes, and cook sausage until well done, about 3 minutes. Crumble sausage, drain on paper towels and set aside.

Clean skillet, and heat over high heat for 2 minutes.

Add olive oil, onions and mushrooms and stir-fry for 3 minutes until onion is golden.

Add garlic, celery, peppers, thyme and sage and stir-fry 5 minutes.

Add crumbled sausage, cubed bread, parsley and chicken broth to vegetable mixture.

Pour dressing into prepared baking dish, cover and bake on upper oven rack 15 minutes.

Remove cover and bake 5 more minutes until browned.
