Ingredients

Recipe makes 5 Servings

1 Tbsp olive oil
1 Lb ground lamb
1 cup(s) red onion, finely diced
1 Tsp fresh garlic, finely minced
1 Tsp cinnamon
1 Tsp ginger
28 Oz petite diced tomatoes, drained
1/3 cup(s) fresh parsley, finely chopped
1/3 cup(s) fresh cilantro, finely chopped
24 fl oz Chicken Turmeric Bone Broth
1/4 cup(s) orzo
15 Oz garbanzo beans, drained

Instructions

Heat a large soup pot over medium-high heat, add oil and ground lamb.

Brown lamb well and then add onions. Cook onions until softened and add garlic, cinnamon, ginger, tomatoes, parsley, cilantro and stock and bring to a simmer for 10 minutes.

Add orzo and cook another 10 minutes, or until pasta is al dente.

Add garbanzo beans and pasta and simmer 10 more minutes, or until pasta is cooked.

Serve with more fresh herbs and toasted naan if desired.
