1 1/8 Tbsp salt
2 Lb green beans, ends trimmed and green beans cut into 3-inch pieces
4 Tbsp unsalted butter
1 1/2 cup(s) shallots, finely chopped
1/2 cup(s) Italian flat leaf parsley, finely chopped
1/8 Tsp black pepper

Bring 3 quarts water to a boil in a 4-quart pot; add 1 tablespoon salt.
Cook green beans in boiling water 2 to 4 minutes just until crisp-tender. Drain well.
Melt butter in a large skillet over medium-high heat.
Add shallots and sauté 1 minute.
Add green beans and parsley; toss until heated through.
Season with salt and pepper.
