Recipe makes 10 Servings

12 Oz french green beans, cut in half
3 Tbsp salted butter
3 Tbsp flour
2 cup(s) heavy cream
1 cup(s) Gruyère cheese, grated
1/2 Tsp black pepper
1 cup(s) onions, chopped
8 Oz mushrooms, quartered
8 slices of bacon, chopped
1 cup(s) panko bread crumbs
1 cup(s) crispy French fried onions

Preheat oven to 375ºF.
Set a large pot of water on stove to boil.
In a sauce pan, over medium heat melt butter.
When butter has melted, stir in flour. Cook three minutes until flour is fragrant and resembles wet sand.
Add in heavy cream, and Gruyère cheese. Stir until thickened. Season with black pepper. Remove from heat and set aside.
Cook bacon until crisp in a large skillet over medium- high heat. Remove cooked bacon from skillet and set aside.
In the same pan, add onions and mushrooms. Cook stirring frequently until onions are translucent.
Transfer onions and mushrooms to the Gruyère sauce, stir to combine.
Place green beans in boiling water for 3 minutes, then quickly strain.
Transfer green beans to a 9 x 13 baking dish.
Pour Gruyère and mushroom sauce over green beans.
Sprinkle with bread crumbs, and crispy French fried onions.
Cover with foil, and bake for 30 minutes.
Remove from oven, and let set for 5 to 10 minutes before serving.
