1 package of Wright Brand Bacon
1/4 cup(s) unsalted butter
2 cup(s) all-purpose flour, divided
2 cup(s) milk
2 cup(s) vegetable oil
1/4 cup(s) corn starch
2 Tsp ground black pepper
1/2 Tsp cayenne pepper

Instructions

Preheat oven at 375°F.

Prepare a baking pan by wrapping with aluminum foil and place the strips of bacon side by side on the baking pan.

Cook for 15 minutes, do not drain the natural juices from the bacon. Repeat this step until all bacon is used minus 2 slices.

While bacon is cooking in the oven, dice the last 2 remaining bacon slices into small pieces.

Cook bacon in a large skillet over medium-high heat, with butter, for 5 minutes; stir often.

Stir in ½ cup of flour and combine until flour is completely coated, heat for an additional 2 minutes.

Whisk in the milk and continue to heat until mixture is smooth.

In a separate skillet, heat oil in a deep skillet over medium to medium-high heat.

Combine remaining flour, starch, black and cayenne pepper in a flat baking dish.

Dredge bacon slices in the flour coating well on both sides.

Once oil is hot, carefully place floured slices of bacon in the oil and cook for 2 to 3 minutes or until golden brown. Reserve bacon, keeping warm.
