Preparation Instructions
Stove Top Directions:1. Bring water to boil in saucepan. Add butter or margarine and salt, if desired.2. Stir in rice. Reduce heat to low; cover and simmer 20 minutes or until rice is tender and most of the water is absorbed.3. Remove from heat. Let stand 5 minutes. fluff with fork before serving. Microwave directions1. Mix 2 1/2 cups water and 1 cup rice in microwavable bowl. Add 2 tsp. butter or margarine and 1/2 tsp. salt, if desired. Cover.2. Microwave on high 5 minutes. Stir. Microwave on medium (50% power) 20 minutes or until rice is tender and most of the water is absorbed, stirring occasionally.3. Let stand in microwave 5 minutes. fluff with fork before serving.Microwave ovens vary; adjust cooking times as needed. Cooking times are based on an 1100 watt microwave oven.
