Long grain white rice with traditional New Orleans seasonings and a blend of creamy cheeses. A New Orleans tradition since 1889. Gluten free. Add meat for a complete meal. Jambalaya can be prepared with your choice of 1 lb of smoked sausage, cooked chicken, ham or shrimp (add cooked shrimp during last 5 minutes of cooking time), cut into bite-size pieces. Do not use if inner pouch has been opened.- Stove Top Directions: Pick a Protein: 1 lb. Cut into bite-sized pieces. Smoked sausage. Cooked chicken. Ham. Shrimp (Add cooked shrimp during last 5 minutes cooking time). Cook: Mix 2-1/2 cups water, rice mix, meat of your choice and 1 tbsp. Vegetable or olive oil (optional) in 3-quart saucepan until well blended. Bring to boil. Reduce heat to low. Cover. Simmer 25 minutes or until rice is tender. Enjoy: Remove from heat. Let stand 5 minutes. Fluff with fork before serving. Zatarain’s Kitchen.
