Van Leeuwen Earl Grey Tea Ice Cream
For this flavor, Van Leeuwen uses organic Rishi Tea, which is hand harvested in the centuries old tea tree forests of Yunnan. The tea is cured and then infused with oil from bergamot citrus. Van Leeuwen steeps the tea in fresh whole milk to the perfect point before adding cream, eggs and sugar! This Rishi Tea can be found in our tea section for a compatible pairing.
Van Leeuwen Ice Cream was born in the Spring of 2008 out of a buttery yellow truck on the streets of NYC with the mission to revive the classic American ice cream truck and the art of traditional ice cream using ingredients perfected by nature, not science. Van Leeuwen ice creams are made with just a handful of fresh ingredients. Each flavor is a celebration of some of the world’s best artisan producers and farmers both local and from around the world. Van Leeuwen makes all their ice cream from scratch in Greenpoint, Brooklyn. The Classic scoops are crafted with nothing more than fresh milk and cream, cane sugar, and egg yolks.
