Ingredients
Salt, Herbs and Spices (Black Pepper, Coriander, Red Pepper, Mustard, Rosemary, Bay Leaf, Thyme), Dried Onion, Dried Garlic, Sugar, Dried Orange Peel.- All You Need:
• 1 whole turkey (up to 25 lbs or larger), thawed.
• 1 package Spice Islands turkey brine mix.
• 4 quarts water.
• 1 single-use brine bag (included), or large stainless steel or plastic container.
• 4 quarts ice water.
Mix: Remove giblets from thawed turkey. In large pot, dissolve mix in 4 quarts of water over medium heat. Do not boil, cool to room temperature.
Brine: Pour cooled brine and 4 quarts of ice water into brine bag and seal tightly. Brine in refrigerator or ice filled cooler for 1 hour per pound of turkey.
Roast: Remove turkey from brine. Rinse turkey and pat dry. Roast in oven following manufacturer's instructions until done.
Serving Suggestion: Makes a juicier turkey.
