At Purina One, we believe the best science is found in nature. Our nutritionists have discovered the power of key ingredient combinations. Store in a cool, dry place. Recommended Daily Feeding Amounts: 3 to 6 Weeks (2/3 to 1-1/3 lbs): 1/4 to 1/3 cup (Using a standard 8 oz measuring cup). 7 to 23 Weeks (1-1/2 to 5-3/4 lbs): 1/3 to 3/4 cup (Using a standard 8 oz measuring cup). 24 to 52 Weeks (5-3/4 to 12 lbs): 1/2 to 3/4 cup (Using a standard 8 oz measuring cup). Over 1 Year: 1 cup (Using a standard 8 oz measuring cup) (Adjust accordingly to maintain ideal body condition). Kitten Feeding: Kittens generally nibble solid foods at 3-4 weeks of age. Keep moistened Purina One SmartBlend Healthy Kitten Formula available to these kittens at all times. After weaning, at 6-8 weeks of age, kittens will normally eat dry or moistened food at will. If water is added, use no more than one part warm (not hot) liquid to three parts Purina One, changing frequently to ensure freshness. When Feeding For Reproduction: Purina One provides all the nutrients needed during reproduction. It is not necessary to add supplemental vitamins or minerals. Food consumption can vary during gestation. Feed the amount needed to maintain ideal body condition in the pregnant female. After the kittens are born, feed the nursing female all she wants to eat. Food intake can double or quadruple during lactation. Making the Switch to Purina One? Although you'll be anxious to see the difference Purina One can make in your cat, please allow 7-10 days to ease the transition from your kitten's current food. Each day, simply feed a little less of the previous food and a little more Purina One until you're feeding Purina One exclusively. This gradual transition will help avoid dietary upsets. No Supplement Necessary: Purina One provides 100% complete and balanced nutrition for the growth of kittens and reproducing females in stages of gestation and lactation. There is no need to add vitamins, minerals or other supplements, unless specifically directed by a veterinarian. Fresh Water, Proper Diet & Veterinary Care: Be sure to provide fresh water in a clean container for your cat daily. Proper diet, exercise and veterinary care are the best ways to keep your cat healthy. If your cat hasn't had a check-up in the past year, please make an appointment today.
