As an American with a pioneering heritage, I am proud to say that this entrepreneurial spirit continues today at my family's winery. At each of our vineyards, our goal is the same - to work with the land to produce the highest quality wines. Our Jackson Estates Grown fruit takes advantage of the cool air influences from the nearby Pacific Ocean as well as the rocky soil that retains the heat. These climactic influences combined with steep vineyards situated on mountains and hillsides provide the ideal environment for Cabernet Sauvignon to thrive. By controlling all vineyard activity, including where vines are planted, how they are pruned and when grapes are picked, we ensure optimum flavor. Jackson Estates grown is the cornerstone of this quality endeavor. My winemaking team uses a combination of French and American oak to add different spice nuances as well as fruit from Sonoma, Napa and Mendocino counties.
