On the Stove Top: 1. Place 1 cup of rice in a saucepan. 2. Add 1-3/4 cups water, bring to a boil and stir. 3. Reduce heat and simmer covered for 10 minutes or until moisture is absorbed. 4. Remove from heat and let stand covered for 5 minutes. 5. Fluff with fork and serve. Cooking Time: 12 minutes (firm); 15 minutes (soft). In the Rice Cooker: 1. Place 2 cups of rice into rice cooker. 2. Add water to 3 cup line in the rice cooker. 3. Stir rice, close lid and start cooker. 4. When cooking ends, let stand covered for 5 minutes, 5. Fluff with fork and serve. Cooking Time: 12 minutes (firm); 15 minutes (soft). Serving Guide: 1/2 Cup Uncooked Rice: Serves 1 person; 1 Cup Uncooked Rice: Serves 2 people; 2 Cups Uncooked Rice: Serves 4 people. 1 cup uncooked rice makes approximately 3 cups cooked rice.
