Recommended Daily Feeding: Small Cat Size: 5 to 9 lbs weight; 1/3 to 3/4 cup daily amount. Large Cat Size: 10 to 14 lbs weight; 3/4 to 1 cup daily amount. Amounts are based on a standard 8 oz dry measuring cup. Amounts are recommended for an average cat with normal activity. Remember food intake requirements vary depending on age, activity, and environment, and should be adjusted accordingly. Adult Cat Feeding Tips: Changes in your pet's feeding habits should be made gradually. When changing over to Hill Country Fare Original, first substitute small amounts of Hill Country Fare Original in place of your pet's current food. Then over the next week to 10 days, increase the amounts of Hill Country Fare Original, while decreasing amounts of her or his other food, until your pet has 100% Hill Country Fare Original diet. Since cats enjoy eating small meals throughout the day, keep a bowl of Hill Country Fare Original available at all times. Easy to Feed: No need to add anything for taste or nutrition. Kitten Feeding Tips: Kittens generally nibble solid food at 3-4 weeks of age. Keep moistened Hill Country Fare Original available to these kittens at all times. After weaning, at six to eight weeks of age, kittens will normally eat dry or moistened food at will. If water is added, use no more than one part warm (not hot) liquid to three parts Hill Country Fare Original, changing frequently to ensure freshness. Feeding for Reproduction: Hill Country Fare Original provides the extra nutrition needed by reproducing females in stages of gestation and lactation. Food consumption may vary during gestation, so feed the amount needed to maintain the pregnant female's good body condition. Food intake may double or even quadruple during lactation. Water: Provide your cat with plenty of fresh water in a clean container daily. For your pet's health, see your veterinarian regularly. Store in a cool and dry place. Keep in a cool and dry place.
