Preparation Instructions

Full Year Feeding Schedule: Because kittens continue to develop throughout their first year, it's important that they get the extra nutrition of Hill Country Fare Kitten for a full 12 months. Using a standard 8 oz measuring cup - 3 to 6 Weeks: 1/4 to 1/3 cup (1/2 to 1 oz) 3 to 4 times a day. After 3 to 4 weeks on mother's milk, kittens can begin to eat solid food moistened with water. Just add 1 part liquid to 3 parts Hill Country Fare Kitten. 7 Weeks to 6 Months: 1/3 to 3/4 cup (1 to 3 oz) 3 to 4 times a day. After 6 to 8 weeks of age, kittens can eat either dry or moistened food. Start a self-feeding program, leaving food in dish at all times. 7 Month to 1 Year: 1/2 to 3/4 cup (2 to 3 oz) 2 times a day. Kitten Feeding: Kittens begin to nibble solid foods at three to four weeks of age. Keep moistened Hill Country Fare Kitten available to these kittens at all times. After weaning, at six to eight weeks of age, kittens will normally eat dry or moistened food at will. If water is added, use no more than one part warm (not hot) liquid to three parts Hill Country Fare Kittens, changing frequently to ensure freshness. Easy to Feed: No need to add anything for taste or nutrition. Feeding for Reproduction. Hill Country Fare Original provides the extra nutrition needed by reproducing females in stages of gestation and lactation. Food consumption may vary during gestation, so feed the amount needed to maintain the pregnant female's good body condition. Food intake may double or even quadruple during lactation. Water: Provide your cat with plenty of fresh water in clean containers daily. For your pet's health, see you veterinarian regularly. Store in a cool and dry place.
