These fish are caught in the icy, pristine waters of Alaska and are fresh-frozen at sea to bring you the freshest flavor. Cook these vivid, deep red fillets up any way your heart desires - they're great grilled, baked, broiled, sauteed, and of course smoked. No matter how you cook them, our H-E-B Wild Alaskan Sockeye Salmon delivers the unique flavor you can only find in the wild! Product of the USA.

Preparation Instructions

Keep frozen. Thaw under refrigeration immediately before use. Cooking from Frozen: We recommend the cook from frozen technique for the perfect blend of convenience and an excellent eating experience! Bake: 1. Heat oven to 450 degrees F. 2. Remove desired amount of frozen fillets from package. 3. Brush both sides of the frozen fillets with olive or canola oil; season as desired. 4. Place frozen fillets, skin side down, on a foil lined baking sheet. 5. Bake in upper 1/3 of oven for 18-20 minutes until fish just begins to flake when tested with a fork and turns opaque throughout. Steam: 1. Add 1 inch water to a large pot. Bring to a rapid boil over High heat. 2. Remove desired amount of frozen fillets from package. 3. Place frozen fillets on a steamer rack over water. Cover pot with a lid. 4. Return liquid to a boil and steam 12-15 minutes until fish just begins to flake when tested with a fork and turns opaque throughout. Grill: Heat charcoal 30 minutes (until as covered) or gas grill for 10 minutes with lid closed. Clean and oil grate as well. 2. Remove desired number of frozen fillets from package. Rinse under cold water to remove any ice glaze and pat dry. Brush both sides of the salmon with olive or canola oil; season as desired. 3. Spray the dull side of a large piece of foil with non-stick cooking spray and place fillet, skin side down, on foil; bring sides of foil together and fold over several times to seal; roll up ends to form an enclosed packet (repeat as necessary for additional fillets). 4. Place packet(s) on grill, seam side down and cook for 8 minutes. 5. Flip packet and cook an additional 8-10 minutes. Grill until salmon just begins to flake when tested with a fork and turns opaque throughout. Salmon will continue to cook in a sealed pouch after removed from heat, so be sure to open packet to avoid over-cooking. If thawed, do not refreeze.
