Cantuccini means "coffee bread" in Italian, twice-baked cookies or biscuits originating in the Italian Tuscan city of Prato near Castel del Piano where Corsini Biscotti, Cantuccini and Amaretti are made. These oblong-shaped almond biscuits are the mini-cousins of the larger biscotti; made dry and crunch through cutting the loaf of dough while still hot and fresh from baking in the oven. In Italy, they are traditionally served as an after-dinner dessert with Tuscan vin santo. We like them with wine, coffee, orange juice, or hot tea. Product of Italy.
