Preparation Instructions

Shopping List: 14.5 oz can of diced tomatoes, 1 egg. 1/3 cup honey, 1 cup shredded cheddar cheese, 1 lb ground turkey. Tamale Pie: Ready in about 30 minutes. Step 1: Preheat oven to 400 degrees F. Step 2: Option: 1 lb ground turkey browned 8 mins in skillet before continuing. Step 3: Pour into skillet tamale pie mix. Step 4: Add 2/3 cup water. Step 5: Add 14.5 oz diced tomatoes. Step 6: Heat on high until boil. Step 7: Simmer 5 mins. Step 8: Add stir until melted 1 cup shredded cheddar cheese. Step 9: Pour filling into 8 x 8 inch baking dish. Step 10: Cornbread mix, 1/3 cup honey. Stir cornbread batter with fork until smooth. Add 3/4 cup water and 1 egg. Step 11: Pour batter over filling. Step 12: Bake 15-18 mins or until toothpick inserted comes out clean. Made Your Way: Add 1/2 can of corn to cornbread batter.
