Description

The Finca La Joya Estate in Marcala, Honduras is nestled along a mountain ridge where trade winds from the Pacific and Atlantic oceans merge and create an arid microclimate. Run by the Amaya family, the estate is home to Bourbon and Catuai coffee. Grown at 5,315 – 5,577 feet, the coffee cherries are honey-processed, which means they’re picked at their ripest, fermented for 48 hours and dried on African drying beds without being washed. Get a taste for yourself by adding CAFE Olé by H-E-B Reserve Honduras Honey to your cart. Although it’s recommended to use a French press or a pour-over for brewing, a drip coffeemaker works as well.

• Tasting Notes: Apple, pear, orange blossom, honey, apricot
• Body: Medium, smooth
• Aroma: Sweet, apple
• Roast Level: 82 (light/very light)
• Regions: Corintio, Santa Ana, Marcala, La Paz
