Preparation Instructions
Keep frozen. Cooking Directions: Microwave: 1. Place onions in microwave safe dish. 2. Cover and microwave on high for 7-1/2 minutes (For food safety and best quality, cook to a temperature of 160 degrees F) (4 minutes [For food safety and best quality, cook to a temperature of 160 degrees F] for half package); stir halfway through cooking. 3. Drain (Cook time based on 1200 watt microwave; cook time may need to be adjusted for your microwave). Stovetop: 1. Place onions in saucepan. Add 3/4 cup water (1/4 cup for half package). Bring water to a full boil over high heat. 2. Reduce heat to medium-high and cover. Cook for 6-7 minutes (For food safety and best quality, cook to a temperature of 160 degrees F) (4-5 minutes [For food safety and best quality, cook to a temperature of 160 degrees F] for half package), stirring occasionally. 3. Drain. Store tightly closed in freezer at 0 degrees F.
