Est. 1862. Makes a marinade that's a rich combination of ancho chili pepper, tomato and a blend of secret herbs and spices. Delicious on steak, pork or chicken.
Prep Time: 10 min. Makes: 8 servings. What You Need: 1 pkt (1.25 oz) A.1. Tomato & Chili Pepper Marinade Mix; 1/4 cup white wine vinegar or distilled white vinegar; 2 tbsp olive oil; 2 tbsp water; 2 beef t-bone steaks (2-1/2 lb), 3/4 inch thick. Make It: Mix all ingredients except steaks until blended. Pour over steaks in shallow dish; turn to evenly coat both sides of each steak. Refrigerate 30 min to marinate. Heat grill to medium-high heat. Remove steaks from marinade; discard marinade. Grill steaks 8 min on each side or until medium doneness (160 degrees F). Use Your Broiler: Marinate steaks as directed. Drain; discard marinade. Heat broiler. Place steaks on rack of broiler pan. Broil, 5 to 7 inches from heat, 8 min on each side or until medium doneness (160 degrees F).
