Basic First Aid Kit It's simple, it's indispensable and no one should be without it—the basic first aid kit. Because you never know when you'll need it, keep a first aid kit in your home and automobile. You'll also want to carry a kit with you when you're hiking, biking or boating. And, it's a good idea to find out the location of first aid kits where you work as well. Basic first aid kits are available at H-E-B. Or, you can put together your own kit. In either case, just be sure to periodically check expiration dates on medications and replace any out-of-date or used items. Also, make sure you store your first aid kit in a secure place, out of the reach of young children. (Note: Be sure to follow directions for usage on labels precisely when taking medications. Also, In the event of a medical emergency, always seek professional treatment as soon as possible.)
