Mother's Day Projects Try these Mother's Day floral projects for special touches Mom is sure to cherish. ![]() Here's a project just for kids: 1. Take one (1) sheet of green construction paper and fold it in half. 2. With scissors cut strips starting at the folded edge of the paper, cutting 3/4 of the way down and leaving the last inch or so attached. Continue to cut strips about every inch. 3. Then, with the paper still folded, roll it like a jelly roll and secure the intact edges at the bottom together with glue or clear tape. After securing the edges, gently spread out the "stems" and "leaves" (loose strips at top). 4. Cut different colors of construction paper into the shape of flower heads (petals). Then glue the heads to the tops of several stems to create the look of a bouquet. ![]() And here's an easy, yet beautiful, floral project for adults: 1. Select two complementary colors of roses, making sure one is your mother's favorite. 2. Bunch your mom's favorite roses together to create the centerpiece of the bouquet. 3. Then, offset the center bunch with the contrasting roses around the perimeter of the bouquet (similar to what is pictured here).
