A beautifully fragrant pinot blanc, the Gustave Lorentz "Reserve" smells of ripe apples, lemon and white flowers. The aromas carry through to the clean, crisp and fresh palate, with the addition of lime and a hint of ginger and minerality. Refreshing acidity balances out this delightful wine.

The vineyard is located on the slopes of the Altenburg near Bergheim. The grapes grown in this exceptional terroir have always been vinified separately. Riesling, Pinot-Gris, Gewurztraminer and other Muscats that originate on these slopes demonstrate a unique character from vintage to vintage. This obstinate perseverance resulted in the awarding of the supreme accolade "Grand Cru" in 1983. The second "Grand Cru" of the domain, smaller in area, is the Kanzlerberg. A rich heritage and long history bound up with the Knights of St John and the Knights Templar, it allows through its chalky marl soil, the finesse of the Rieslings, and more recently, the Pinot-Gris, to shine through.
