On Sunday, May 2, 2010, H-E-B announced the statewide winners in the 2010 H-E-B Excellence in Education Awards. Winners were announced during the Awards Celebration held in Houston at The Woodlands Resort and Convention Center, where H-E-B gathered 40 educators and 8 school districts to honor them for their outstanding commitment to education.
This award recognizes teachers with less than 10 years of experience. The two winning teachers each received a $5,000 check for themselves and a $5,000 grant for their schools.
