March Beauty Pick: Suave Professionals Sleek Cream & Dry Shampoo

The Scoop: When we heard that Suave was revamping their line to compare to salon brands, we were first in line to try them out—and hopefully convert to save our families some money. In the process, we fell in love with Suave Professionals Stylers. They work like salon brands, for a fraction of the cost. Our two favorites:

Sleek Anti-Frizz Cream: This lightweight cream, containing silk protein and vitamin E, helps smooth hair for an all day frizz-free look. Gently towel dry wet hair and comb out any tangles. Squeeze a small amount into hands and rub together. Apply to hair starting at the mid shaft and working through to the ends.

Dry Shampoo Aerosol Spray: Sprays on in a fine mist to absorb excess oil that accumulates on the scalp and hair, while providing volume at the root. For the best results, separate hair into sections, lifting to expose the scalp, and apply the product at the base of the hair. Then, work the product into the hair with your fingers.

Styling How-To: Modern Vintage Knot
Step 1: Wash hair and blow dry it with your fingers, finishing with a medium sized round brush to smooth the ends. Then spray Suave Professionals Dry Shampoo all over her hair, focusing on the roots for extra texture.

Step 2: Create a side part using a tail comb and tease hair at the crown for volume. Then rub a bit of Suave Professionals Anti-Frizz Cream on hands and apply to hair starting at the mid shaft and working through to the ends.

Step 3: Split hair down the center into two sections. Create a knot (like tying a bow) and secure it with bobby pins. Then, create another knot right under the first one (for a double-knot) and secure it with pins. Leave ends out for a loose, undone look.

"I was very leery in trying the "dry shampoo". I'm an avid hair washer so I didn't think I'd like it. However, to my surprise, I thought it worked well.
