Reviews from the H-E-B Beauty Panel:
"For the last two weeks, I've replaced my FHI flat iron with the John Frieda Sleek Finish flat iron. Improvements over the usual iron: I love the ability to change temperatures—though I do wish the button wasn't right where your fingers hold the iron—and I love that this iron heats in only 15 seconds. The John Frieda iron was definitely lighter, which is better for traveling. And the iron really did make my hair sleek and smooth. I'd say I still prefer my FHI iron, but the John Frieda version is pretty top notch (and has some improvements) for less than half the price."

"I loved the fact the flat iron has a super long cord. This is similar to professional appliances I have and it's great. The iron heated up fast! It felt like seconds, not minutes, to fully heat. I don't typically straighten my hair (I'm a long-time user of curling irons) but I did use this flat iron to curl the ends. It was easy and looks great. The only negative comment I have is about the positioning of the temperature control. It's in exactly the place I put my hand and I kept turning down the heat by accident. I had to pay particular attention to hold the iron closer to the hot end. It worked just fine, didn't burn me, but I did have to be careful."

"I enjoyed using this iron for my hair. My hair did not get frizzy and the straightening went really smooth. I did not have trouble with the heat. It worked perfectly with my curly, thick and long hair."
-Griselda, H-E-B Beauty Advisor
"I am in love with the new John Frieda flat iron. It left my hair silky and smooth. By the end of the day, it still looked good. I did not have any problems with my hair frizzing. I am saying goodbye to my CHI and hello to the new John Frieda flat iron."
-Hazel, H-E-B Beauty Advisor
"The John Frieda flat iron makes my hair smooth and sleek. I like that it's lightweight and has a long cord for easy handling. It heats quickly and has an adjustable temperature setting. The problem is with the button placement. They're located on the outside where your hand would go, which makes it easy to accidently turn off while in use."

"I really like the John Frieda flat iron! It takes a little getting used to because the power button is in a weird place and I kept turning it off accidentally, but once I figured out the best hand placement, I was ok. I really liked using it to curl my hair (flat irons curl better for me than curling irons) because of the curved shape of the appliance. I was able to get the look I wanted with just one pass."
-Amber, H-E-B Beauty Buyer
"The John Frieda Sleek Finish straightening iron is a great pick! The iron's ergonomic design fits great in my hand and the 15-second heat-up can't be beat. The ionic technology helped eliminate frizziness as it straightened, and the plates didn't lose heat between passes on my hair. It was a bit tricky as I kept thinking I was hitting the on/off switch when I would run the iron down my hair, but once I got used to it, I was fine. I love the iron's swivel cord as well—no getting tangled up!"
-Sabrina, H-E-B Beauty Advisor
"The Sleek Finish flat iron heated up really quick. It was nice to know the temperature versus my normal straightener that has a dial from 1 to 10. I have limited counter space to fix my hair, so the swivel cord was a nice feature. My hair felt smooth and healthy."
-Julie, H-E-B Advertising Account Manager
"I need lots of heat to straighten out my wavy hair, so it's important that the flat iron I use gets hot and stays hot. The John Frieda flat iron did a satisfactory job of conquering the stubborn waves in my hair. I kept accidentally hitting the temperature control which was a drawback, but when the iron was at the right heat, it did an OK job. For the price, I think it's a great buy."

"I already have straight hair, but it often looks frazzled and not sleek. This iron did make it look much sleeker. I like the fact that it is lightweight and has a variance in temperature control. However, the location of the control isn't ideal as I can easily bump it and change the settings. I like the fact that the entire iron is more rounded versus some of the others that are square—makes it easier to curl under or flip up. Overall, I thought this was a pretty decent little straightener."
-Tracy, H-E-B Beauty Buyer
"The extra-long ceramic coated plates and advanced ionic conditioning give a smooth, sleek finish with great shine! There are no kinks in the hair since the hair slides smoothly over the plates—no tugging, no pulling—thus no effort to get a great smooth look. I highly suggest reading the directions which gives a guide to what degree setting you should use based on your hair needs. The iron has auto shut-off, but it does not turn off until after 60 minutes, so I suggest not relying on the auto shut-off. The only drawback to this iron is that you have to get used to holding it so it doesn't shut-off or change settings. I can honestly say that I would recommend this product to my family, friends and of course to you, because I truly feel John Frieda and Conair have created a fantastic product!"
