Reviews from the H-E-B Beauty Panel:
"I think the Essie polish goes on great! It has an incredible amount of coverage (two coats is more than enough) and has a rich and creamy consistency. The winter colors I received are all matte (no glitter) but it appears that is the look for both the fall and winter. They were colors I wouldn't typically think of wearing, but so glad I did—very cool! I really like the Essie polishes—great choice for Beauty Pick of the Month!"
-Tracy, H-E-B Beauty Buyer
"Essie's new jewel tone shades are chic and trendy. All of them dry a semi-gloss, opaque finish with no shimmer. My favorite shade is Cocktail Bling; it's a versatile gray with a slight purple hue and looks good with any color outfit. The polish is easy to apply, dries quickly and lasts all week! I prefer two to three coats for a smooth, flawless finish. Tip: To avoid staining, use a clear base coat before applying darker colors."

"I loved Essie! It goes on smooth and can cover in one coat if you're in a hurry. The shine and the color lasted much longer than other nail polishes I've used. I did not have to keep reapplying top coat every few days to keep it shiny or make it last. I was surprised by the color palette that was chosen for winter, but after trying a few of them I can see why these are the colors to wear! Overall, I would definitely recommend Essie to anyone who hasn't tried it!"
-Amber, H-E-B Beauty Buyer
"Essie is my absolute favorite nail polish brand by a long shot! I use my hands a lot at work, so it is very hard to find a nail polish that doesn't chip the first day or two. Only Essie can last through my wear and tear!"
-Ashley, H-E-B Beauty Advisor
"I used the Essie color, Cocktail Bling. It seemed dull in the jar, but when I put it on it was easy to apply, dried quick, and was full of color. The brush was easy to use, and covered the whole nail. You could be ready to go in just one coat. Love it!"
-Kelly, H-E-B Beauty Buyer
"I thought the range of colors for Essie's winter collection was perfect! After trying the different shades, I liked the School of Hard Rocks. It's not a color I would normally pick out, but it grew on me. I tried Size Matters on my toenails, and thought it was a gorgeous pop of color. Lastly, I tried a couple of coats of Cocktail Bling. I got compliments from everyone! Lesson learned, it's OK to stray from my safe neutrals or standard rose shades and try something new. You never know, you might just like a little change."

"Of the new shades this season, I instantly grabbed Size Matters and Bobbing for Baubles. While wearing Bobbing for Baubles, I even got a compliment from the barista at the coffee shop, asking where she could get some! While I loved the colors, I wasn't too impressed with the wear and tear. After only a few days, my nails started chipping. Might have helped if I wore a top coat—instead of just the color."

"I gave my nails some much needed TLC by trying four of the collections colors: Brooch the Subject, School of Hard Rocks, Size Matters, and Cocktail Bling. I loved the bright red color of Size Matters but my absolute favorite was Brooch the Subject. It looks a little weird in the jar, but the subtle nude color was just my style. I had a great experience with the wearability. Three coats lasted me about a week. I recommend buffing your nails before applying the polish so that there is a nice and even base for the polish to stick to."

"The colors of Essie were beautiful and right on trend. The problem is that the wearability was not great. It lasted less than 24 hours and was chipping off in chunks. This was with a top coat and base coat."
-Stacey, H-E-B Beauty Buyer
"I love the colors of the Essie Nail Polish and their creative names! For my review I wore bobbing for baubles. It's a nice charcoal color, that depending on what you are wearing seems to pick up more black, grey, or blue. I received a lot of compliments on the color. When I first applied Essie, I was surprised by the smell. I guess since Essie is a 3 free company, meaning no DBP, Toluene or Formaldehyde I was expecting less of a smell. Initially, I wasn't impressed with how long my polish lasted, it was chipping within hours. To be fair, I followed the three rules of applying nail polish:
1) Apply base coat
2) Apply 2 coats of nail polish
3) Apply a top coat
When followed the 3 rules my nail polish did last longer. However for the money it didn?t last as long as I would of liked."

"I got to try essie nail polish the first time a few months ago and I've been using it since! I love that it is good quality and doesn't chip as easily as cheaper brands."
