14. UP (2009) - This heart-warming tale of adventure features one the most memorable love stories ever told. Carl wants to honor the memory of his late wife Ellie by taking a trip to Paradise Falls. Just as he sets off in his floating house for one last adventure, he finds an unexpected guest that will take his trip on a new route. It makes the list for its celebration of all kinds of love in our lives. Love for your spouse, love for your pet, love for adventure and love between friends. 13. 500 Days of Summer (2009) - This quirky film is described by its narrator as "a story about love, not a love story." Tom (Joseph Gordon-Levitt) wants to win Summer's (Zooey Deschanel) heart, but her spontaneous personality keeps her two steps ahead of his every move. The film's honest look at the highs and lows in relationships is both funny and heart-wrenching with an end that leaves you hopeful. 12. Curious Case of Benjamin Button (2008) - Vivid story-telling and imagery make this film both romantic and stunning. Set after World War I and ending with the events of Hurricane Katrina, follow the love story of Benjamin (Brad Pitt) and Daisy (Cate Blanchett) who are drawn close together and far apart throughout their lives. The film entertains audiences with its action and twists and turns. 11. Eternal Sunshine of the Spotless Mind (2004) - Ever wish you could forget all the heartbreak after a breakup? Joel (Jim Carrey) wants to erase all memory of his girlfriend Clementine (Kate Winslet), but as he is wiping away everything that when wrong, he starts to remember everything that was so right. If you are looking different kind of romance, this is your movie. 10. The Proposal (2009) - Margaret (Sandra Bullock) is a cut-throat publisher who is demanding, bossy and facing deportation. Andrew (Ryan Reynolds) is her assistant, and on the guarantee of a promotion, Margaret's fiancé. When the "couple" takes a trip to Alaska to get married and rid Margaret of her impending deportation, they realize that they could be right for one another after all. This movie is list-worthy for its funny and light-hearted tale of opposites that will have you in stitches. 9. Love Actually (2003) - Set a month before Christmas in busy London, this film follows the trials and tribulations of eight couples. Some are falling in love, others are looking for love and others are running from love. This movie features big stars Hugh Grant, Colin Firth, Keira Knightley and Emma Thompson. You'll enjoy each character's leaps of love and cheer them on through there missteps. 8. P.S. I Love You (2007) - Holly (Hillary Swank) is a young widow trying to piece her life back together after her husband, Gerry (Gerard Butler), passes away. Shortly after, Holly begins to receive messages in the mail from Gerry pushing her to rediscover herself and find new joy in life. Though a tear-jerker, this movie is romantic and touching—with some laugh out loud moments from Holly's friends. It's guaranteed to touch your heart and make you smile. 7. Shakespeare in Love (1998) - It's a love so great, it inspires William Shakespeare. Viola (Gwyneth Paltrow) is a betrothed noble-woman set for America. Young Shakespeare (Joseph Fiennes) is in debt and suffering from writers block. Circumstance brings this pair together and the lovely Viola becomes the inspiration Shakespeare needs to save his theater company and launch his legendary career. This fictional portrayal of Shakespeare's love life is a classic romance you'll enjoy from start to finish. 6. Pride and Prejudice (2005) - Lizzie (Keira Knightley) is a young idealistic woman from the English countryside. Mr. Darcy is a wealthy man who is reluctantly falling for Lizzie. Equally matched in wit and attraction for one another, they must learn to overcome their pride and realize their feelings. This is the most recent portrayal of Jane Austen's classic and it elegantly captures the romantic tension found in the novel. 5. Ghost (1990) - Sam (Patrick Swayze) and Molly (Demi Moore) are young couple in love. On their walk home, Sam is killed during a mugging. Sam's ghost uncovers a plot that puts unsuspecting Molly in harms way. With the help of a physic Oda Mae (Whoopi Goldberg), Sam must warn Molly and deliver one last message of love. The casts' chemistry and the film's mix of funny and touching moments earn it a top spot on our list. 4. When Harry Met Sally (1989) - Harry (Billy Crystal) and Sally (Meg Ryan) meet just after college. They don't exactly hit it off, but as they run into each through the years, they strike up a friendship that turns into something more. Both characters are relatable and you can't help but root them on as they realize they are meant for each other. It's a list topper for its hilarious and honest look at love in the big city. 3. Pretty Woman (1990) - This modern day fairy tale ushered in Julia Robert's reign as America's sweetheart and cemented Richard Gere's dreamboat status. This film is one part Cinderella and one part My Fair Lady. You've got fashion, a handsome suitor and a rags-to-riches story with a whole lot of heart. Dust off this classic and fall head over heels all over again. 2. Titanic (1997) - Jack (Leonardo DiCaprio) is a poor artist, and Rose (Kate Winslet) is wealthy engaged women trapped by her societal duty. They meet aboard the Titanic and quickly Jack sweeps Rose off her feet with his carefree spirit. Rose's family and fiancé attempt to keep the couple apart, and as history begins to unfold on the sinking ship, Jack and Rose must fight to survive. This love story is as epic as they get. 1. The Notebook (2004) - It's the epitome of a romantic movie. Allie (Rachel McAdams) and Noah (Ryan Gosling) fall madly in love over the summer. Societal differences force the two apart, and even though they haven't spoken in years, their love still has a hold on them. Years later Allie has the chance to reconnect with Noah, but now she is engaged and must make the most important choice in her life.
