Marcie Perez is the Regional Dietitian for H-E-B's Border Region. Her main role is to promote optimal health to H-E-B partners, customers, and their families through food and physical activity. She enjoys her role as the nutrition expert for H-E-B in the Border Region because it allows her to do her favorite things every day: teach, serve, and cook!
Born and raised in the Rio Grande Valley, Marcie feels it is an immense honor for her to be able to give back to her community through her work and passion. She hopes to play a role in improving the state of health in her area by being a resource to her community.
Marcie graduated with a Bachelor of Science in Nutritional Sciences from Texas A&M University and completed her dietetic internship at the Michael E. DeBakey Veteran's Affairs Medical Center in Houston, TX. She is currently pursuing a Master of Science in Nutrition from Texas Woman's University, and has plans to pursue a specialized credential in nutrition in the near future.
As you may have guessed, Marcie has a love for food, health, and fitness, but she loves nothing more than sharing that passion with everyone she meets.
