Chorizo, Avocado & Black Bean Tortas

8  small  H-E-B Bake Shop Ready to Bake at Home Whole Wheat French Rolls

1  can (15 oz.)  Central Market Organics Black Beans

1/2  c.  H-E-B Salsa Ranchero Specialty Series

6  oz.  H-E-B Chorizo

2  Roma tomatoes, thin sliced

2  large  Hass avocados, thin sliced

1/2  c.  H-E-B Sabor Tradicional Jalapeño Strips

1/2  c.  cilantro leaves


Heat oven to 375°F. Bake rolls on sheet pan according to package directions.

Meanwhile, rinse and drain black beans. Combine with salsa in food processor. Process to chunky texture (about 30 seconds).

Heat skillet over medium heat 3 minutes. Remove chorizo from casing. Pan-fry 3 minutes or until brown and crumbly. Drain on paper towels, set aside in bowl.

Slice open French roll. Spread 3 Tablespoons refried beans and chorizo on bottom half. Layer 2 or 3 slices tomato, 3 slices avocado, jalapeño if desired, cilantro. Top with other roll half. Complete all tortas, serve.
