1 1/2 cups all-purpose flour
1 1/2 cups whole what flour
1/4 cup packed brown sugar
1 1/2 teaspoons baking powder
1 1/2 teaspoons McCormick Salt
12 ounces beer
2 teaspoons H-E-B Butter, melted
Heat oven to 350 degrees F. Spray a 9 x 5-inch loaf pan with non-stick spray.
Combine all-purpose flower, whole wheat flour, baking powder and salt in a large mixing bowl; add sugar and stir until blended. Pour in beer; sir to combine. Batter will be stiff; mix with hands if necessary. Place in a prepared loaf pan; brush top with melted butter.
Bake 50 to 60 minutes, or until top is lightly browned and edges pull away from sides of pan. Remove from oven; brush with additional butter, if desired.
Let stand 10 minutes; remove from pan to a wire rack and cool slightly. Slice and serve
