3 whole eggs, beaten
1/2 cup sugar
1 cup dark corn syrup or molasses
1 1/4 cups pecans
1/2 3 ounce tablet Abuelita Mexican chocolate, crushed
1 Hill Country Fare refrigerated pie crust
Heat oven to 350 degrees. Bring pie crust to room temperature according to package directions; set aside.
Combine eggs, sugar, syrup, pecans and crushed chocolate in a large mixing bowl. Mix with an electric mixer on medium speed until blended.
Pour pecan pie filling into unbaked pie-crust lined pan. Bake on lower third oven rack for 45 minutes or until a knife inserted in the center comes out clean. Cool the pie completely before serving.
