3/4  lb.  lean ground beef

2  Tbsp.  tomato paste

1  clove garlic, chopped

1/2  tsp.  ground cumin

1/2  tsp.  ground fennel

1/4  tsp.  ground ginger

1/4  tsp.  chopped parsley

1  egg

1  c.  H-E-B Greek Yogurt

1  lemon, juiced

1  clove garlic, minced

4  whole wheat pitas

*  lettuce

*  tomato


Combine first 8 ingredients in a large bowl and mix just until combined. Form into 8 equal patties.

Heat a large nonstick skillet on Medium-High and coat with cooking spray. Cook patties 4 to 5 minutes per side or until cooked through. You may need to do this in stages.

Prepare sauce by incorporating yogurt, lemon juice, and garlic in a small bowl and whisking.

Cut each pita in half, stuff with one patty, and spoon in sauce. Add lettuce and tomato as desired.
