5 to 7 minutes
2 lamb center leg steaks or 4 boneless top round steaks
1 cup chicken stock or bouillon
1/2 cup brown sugar
1 teaspoon grated ginger
1 clove garlic, minced
1/2 teaspoon ground cloves
2 tablespoon fresh lime juice
2 tablespoon rum (optional)
Combine marinade ingredients.
Set aside some marinade for basting during grilling.
Use remainder to marinate steaks 2 to 24 hours in refrigerator.
Remove from marinade and grill steaks over moderate coals 5 to 7 minutes per side or until desired doneness.
Brush occasionally with set aside marinade
