Ingredients

2  (16 ounce) packages  Hill Country Fare Frozen French or Cut Green Beans, Broccoli Florets, Brussels Sprouts or

3  (10 ounce) packages  frozen asparagus spears

1/2  cup  H-E-B Butter or Margarine

1/2  cup  sliced almonds

1  (14.5 ounce) can  Hill Country Fare Chicken Broth

1  tablespoon  cornstarch

Instructions


Cook the frozen vegetables according to package microwave directions and drain. Place cooked vegetables in a large microwave safe serving dish and set aside uncovered.

Meanwhile, melt butter or margarine in a large skillet over Medium heat. Add almonds and cook for 2 to 4 minutes or until golden brown, stirring constantly. Remove almonds from pan and set aside in a small bowl.

Combine lemon juice, chicken broth, and cornstarch in same skillet and stir until cornstarch is completely dissolved. Heat the broth over Medium heat until thickened. Season to taste with salt and pepper and pour over cooked vegetables.

Heat the vegetables and broth in microwave oven for 5 to 6 minutes before serving and top with toasted almonds
