45 to 50 minutes
2 1/2 cups flour
1/3 cup grated Parmesan cheese
2 tablespoon sugar
1 teaspoon baking powder
1 teaspoon baking soda
1/4 teaspoon salt
2 tablespoon chopped onion
3 tablespoon margarine
1 tub (8 oz) dairy sour cream
1/4 cup milk
1 egg white, slightly beaten
2 tablespoon grated Parmesan cheese
Preheat oven to 350 degrees.
Oil a baking sheet.
Combine flour, 1/3 cup Parmesan cheese, sugar, baking powder, baking soda, salt and onion in a large bowl.
Cut in margarine until crumbly.
Stir in sour cream and milk, just until moistened.
Turn dough onto lightly floured surface, knead until smooth, about one minute.
Divide dough into two portions; shape into 5 inch round loaves.
Place on prepared baking sheet.
Brush top of loaves with egg white, sprinkle with 2 tablespoons grated Parmesan cheese.
Cut an X about 1/2 inch through top of each loaf.
Bake 45 to 50 minutes until golden brown
