* H-E-B Butter
12 slices H-E-B Bake Shop Wheat Bread
1 container (10 oz.) H-E-B Black Forest Ham
2 cups H-E-B Shredded Cheddar Cheese
2 cups H-E-B Potato Chips, crushed
6 slices H-E-B Fully Cooked® Bacon, chopped
1 carton (6 oz.) Hill Country Fare Real Egg
1 cup half and half
pinch freshly grated nutmeg
* salt and ground black pepper
Pre-heat oven to 375°F. Butter a 9 by 13 inch glass baking dish.
Butter both sides of the bread and layer 6 of them into the bottom of the baking dish, overlapping them as necessary but keep them even. Layer the slices of ham on top of the bread, 6 more slices of bread, then the cheese, potato chips, and bacon.
In a separate bowl, beat together the eggs, half and half, nutmeg, salt, and pepper. Pour this over the casserole almost to the top. Bake for 45 minutes until brown and bubbly.
