1 lb. (1-1/2-inch diameter) Gluten Free Spaghetti
3 large H-E-B Ready, Fresh, Go! Garlic Cloves
1 large onion
3 Tbsp. H-E-B Virgin Olive Oil
1 lb. super lean ground beef
• salt & black pepper
2 cans (28 oz.) crushed tomatoes in heavy puree
1/4 c. fresh basil, chopped
Prepare pasta according to package directions.
Finely chop garlic and onion in a food processor or by hand.
Heat a large 10-quart heavy-bottomed pot over medium heat for 3 minutes. Add olive oil and garlic-onion mixture. Cook, stirring frequently, until onions and garlic have a puree texture (about 15 minutes).
Add ground beef and cook over medium high heat, stirring frequently, until meat is no longer pink. Season to taste with salt and black pepper.
Add crushed tomatoes to beef mixture and cook for 15 to 25 minutes more. Add chopped basil, stir and serve sauce over prepared hot pasta.
