1 pkg. frozen Central Market All Natural Ravioli (or substitute Tortellini)
1/2 jar Orti Di Calabra Pasta Sauce
• vegetable oil or grape seed oil, for frying
2 c. dried plain or Italian bread crumbs
2 or 3 eggs
• grated Grana Padano Cheese (optional)
Thaw pasta to room temperature. Pat dry with paper towels.
Heat 1/2 jar of pasta sauce in a small sauce pan or in a microwaveable dish.
Pour oil into a large, deep skillet to reach a ½-inch depth; heat over Medium-High heat to a temperature of 360°F (use a candy thermometer to determine temperature).
Place bread crumbs in a large, shallow bowl. Whisk eggs together in a separate bowl. Dip pasta in egg and then dredge in bread crumbs. Fry pasta in 2 separate batches, about 2 minutes per side or until golden brown. Drain on paper towels. Serve with pasta sauce.
