Double Chocolate Brownie bars

1  pkg  Ghirardelli brownie mix

1/3  cup  Hill Country Fare Canola Oil

1  H-E-B extra large egg

2  pkgs (8 oz. each)  Softened H-E-B Cream Cheese regular or fat free

2/3  cup  H-E-B Sugar

2  H-E-B extra large eggs

1  bar (12 oz.)  Ghirardelli milk chocolate candy bar chopped or grated


Heat oven to 325F. Spray a 13 x 9 -inch baking dish with non-stick cooking spray and set aside.

Combine the Ghirardelli Brownie Mix, 1/3 cup water, canola oil and 1 egg in a large mixing bowl. Mix the batter with an electric mixer on medium speed for 1 minute. Evenly spread the brownie batter in the prepared baking dish and set aside.

Combine the softened cream cheese and sugar in a mixing bowl and mix with an electric mixer on low speed for 1 minute or until cream cheese mixture is light and fluffy. Add the 2 eggs to the cream cheese mixture and mix on low speed for 1 more minute. Evenly spread the cream cheese topping over the brownie batter.

Bake the brownies on the center oven rack for 40-45 minutes. Sprinkle with the chopped chocolate candy bar and cool the brownies completely before cutting into 24 squares. Place brownies in a sealed container and keep refrigerated until ready to serve
