4 1/2 cups oats
1 tablespoon vanilla
1 cup brown sugar, firmly packed
3/4 cup butter or margarine, melted
1/2 cup light corn syrup
1/2 teaspoon salt
2/3 cup chopped nuts
1 (12 oz.) package semi-sweet chocolate morsels
Heat oven to 400 degrees.
Grease a 15 x 10 inch jelly roll pan.
Combine oats, brown sugar, butter, corn syrup, vanilla, and salt; mix well.
Firmly press mixture into prepared pan, bake about 18 minutes or until mixture is brown and bubbly.
Remove from oven and immediately sprinkle chocolate morsels evenly over toffee.
Let stand 10 minutes until chocolate melts.
Spread chocolate evenly over toffee and sprinkle with nuts.
Cut into squares and store tightly covered in a cool, dry place
