1 Cedar Plank
2 Tablespoons H-E-B Olive Oil
1 Tablespoon H-E-B spice company seafood seasoning
2/3 pound Wild alaskan salmon fillet
Soak the cedar plank in cold water for 30 minutes to 2 hours Place a heavy glass bowl over the plank to keep it submersed in the water.
Sprinkle the H-E-B Spice Company Seafood Seasoning over the Wild Alaskan Salmon fillet. Once the cedar plank is soaked, sprinkle it with the H-E-B Spice Company Seafood Seasoning and place the seasoned Wild Alaskan Salmon, skin-side-down on the cedar plan. Brush the salmon with the olive oil, cover with plastic wrap and keep refrigerated until grill is ready.
Heat charcoal 30 minutes. Heat gas grill 10 minutes with lid closed. Place the prepared cedar plank with salmon directly on the grill and close the cover. Grill the salmon for 25 minutes or until it flakes easily in from the center part of the fillet. A light smoke will begin to rise after 3 to 4 minutes. Grill at a low heat (335 degrees F to 350 degrees F).
Baking Method:Heat the oven from 325 degrees F to 350 degrees F. Follow steps 1 & 2 above to prepare cedar Plank and Wild Alaskan Salmon. Place the Cedar Planked Wild Alaskan Salmon on the middle oven rack. Increase the oven temperature to 380 degrees F to 400 degrees F and bake for 20 minutes or until salmon flakes easily from the center part of the fillet.
