8 servings

Ingredients

8  small  red or green apples, washed & dried

8  popsicle sticks (bamboo or craft sticks work too)

*  Hill Country Fare Butter Spray

21  Hill Country Fare Caramel Squares, unwrapped

1  tsp.  H-E-B Milk, 2%

8  small  glasses to hold apples uspide down once coated

*  sprinkles, nuts or your favorite toppings (optional)

Instructions

Insert popsicle stick in stem end of apple. Line baking sheet with foil, spray with Hill Country Fare Butter Spay, set apples on foil.

Place 2 quart sauce pot with 2 cups water on the stove, heat to medium boil. Combine unwrapped caramels and 1 teaspoon milk in 1-quart microwave safe glass bowl that fits over saucepot, (like a double boiler). Microwave caramels for 30 seconds on High power, and stir. Place bowl over boiling water to continue melting caramels, stirring often until caramel sauce is consistency of honey.

Dip each apple halfway in sauce, then decorate with sprinkles, nuts or your favorite toppings. Place decorated apples upside down on a glass to cool.
