3 medium sweet potatoes (about 1 pound)
3 tablespoons brown sugar
1 tablespoon butter or margarine
1 cup chopped nuts (optional)
1 cup marshmallows (optional)
Cook fresh peeled sweet potatoes, covered, in boiling water for 25 to 35 minutes or until tender.
While still hot, add brown sugar and butter.
Spread into a buttered 1-quart casserole dish.
Bake in a 375 degree oven for 30 to 35 minutes or until browned.
If desired, sprinkle with nuts or marshmallows and cook for 5 more minutes
