1  c.  H-E-B Instant Brown & Wild Rice

2  tsp.  Hill Country Fare Extra Virgin Olive Oil

3  Tbsp.  red onion, chopped

3  Tbsp.  Hill Country Fare Almond Slivers

2  tsp.  fresh grated orange peel

1/2  tsp.  salt

1/2  c.  H-E-B Dried Cranberries, chopped


Rinse and drain the rice.

Heat a heavy 2 quart saucepan over medium heat for 2 minutes. Add the rice, olive oil, onions and chopped almonds to the pan and stir-fry for 4 minutes.

Add 2 cups water, salt, orange peel and dried cranberries to the rice and bring the mixture to a boil over high heat. Reduce heat to medium low, cover and cook for 40 minutes.
