8 - 12 servings
8 oz. sliced bacon, chopped coarsely (more bacon may be used as desired)
1/2 c. onion, chopped
2 Tbsp. Adams Reserve Val Verde or House Rub
4 cans (14.5 oz. each) assorted beans: pinto, red kidney, white beans and black beans
1 bottle (12 oz.) Cookwell & Co. Bock & Brown Sugar Marinade
Cook bacon, onion, Val Verde Rub and sausage (if using) in large pot (5 or 6 quarts) over medium-high heat until bacon has browned.
Discard pan drippings, if desired. Rinse and drain beans; add to bacon mixture. Stir in marinade.
Bring to a boil and simmer over medium-low heat 15 to 20 minutes, uncovered. Serve while hot.
