1/4 cup warm water
1 package dry yeast
1 tablespoon sugar
2 cups warm water
1/2 cup sugar
1/2 cup oil
6 1/2 cups flour
2 teaspoon salt
Mix first 3 ingredients together in small bowl, let stand.
Mix 2 cups water, 1/2 cup sugar and oil in a large bowl; add yeast mixture.
Sift flour and salt and mix into yeast mixture, 2 cups at a time.
Mix until well-blended.
Turn out on floured board and knead until smooth.
Place in oiled bowl, cover with towel, let rise until double.
Preheat oven to 375 degrees.
Make into rolls, let rise until double.
