1  pound  Beef Round Tip Steak, cut 1/4-inch thick

1 (16 oz.)  package  ziti pasta

2  teaspoons  oil

1  small onion, chopped

2  cloves fresh garlic, crushed

1/2  teaspoon  Each salt and pepper

1 (26 oz.)  jar  H-E-B Marinara Sauce

3/4  cup  shredded Parmesan cheese

2  cups  shredded mozzarella cheese


Heat oven to 375 degrees F.

Bring 4 quarts water to a rapid boil in a large stockpot.

Cut beef steaks into small 1/4-inch cubes.

Chop onion.

Cook pasta 9 minutes or according to package directions until just al dente.


Heat oil a large non-stick skillet over Medium-High heat.

Sauté onion 2 minutes.

Add garlic, then beef cubes, salt and pepper and cook 2 minutes.

Stir marinara sauce into beef mixture until evenly blended.

Remove from heat.

Toss drained pasta with Parmesan cheese.

Spread pasta over bottom of a non-metal baking dish coated with non-stick spray.

Pour meat sauce over pasta.

Sprinkle with mozzarella.

Bake 10 minutes.

Serve immediately
