4 - 6 servings
1 to 2 pounds H-E-B seasoned Texas grillers filet of beef, ranch rub
1 large onion, chopped
4 cloves garlic, minced
2 tablespoons H-E-B butter
3/4 cup bottled chili sauce
3 tablespoons Worcestershire sauce
3 tablespoons freshly squeezed lemon juice
3 tablespoons packed brown sugar
Cut beef into 3/4 to 1-inch thick slices. Chop onion. Chop garlic very finely to mince.
Heat a large nonstick skillet over medium-high heat. Cook beef slices 3 minutes per side, or until internal temperature of beef reaches 135 degrees for medium-rare or 145 degrees for medium doneness. Remove to a platter and cover to keep warm.
Heat butter in same skillet. Sautèacute; onion and garlic 8 to 10 minutes until tender; scrape and stir in browned bits from bottom of pan. Add chili sauce, Worcestershire, lemon juice and brown sugar; stir to blend. Heat and stir 2 minutes over medium heat.
Spoon sauce over steaks and serve immediately
