1 (11 ounce) tube refrigerated breadstick dough
* non-stick cooking spray
2 cloves garlic, minced or crushed
1 tablespoon olive oil
1/4 cup minced fresh basil
1/4 cup grated Parmesan cheese
1/4 teaspoon ground black pepper
Heat oven to 375 degrees F. Coat a large baking sheet with non-stick spray.
Mince or crush garlic. Place garlic and oil in small microwave-safe dish. Microwave 30 to 60 seconds on High power. Remove and set aside.
Meanwhile, chop basil very finely to mince. Combine basil, Parmesan cheese and pepper in a small bowl.
Unroll dough onto wax paper; separate to form 12 strips. Brush tops with garlic oil. Sprinkle with cheese mixture; press gently into dough to adhere. Twist each breadstick as shown on tube directions. Place on baking sheet; press ends down firmly.
Bake 15 minutes or until golden brown. Serve hot.
